Srinivas Vutukury

Srinivas Vutukury received his Ph.D in computer science from University of California, Santa Cruz, CA. His advisor is J.J. Garcia-Luna-Aceves. Earlier, he received a B.Tech degree in computer science and engineering from IIT Mumbai and a M.S degree in computer and information sciences from University of Oregon, Eugene, OR.

He is currently V.P of Engineering at EXS Inc., an early stage startup developing networking gear for wireless mesh networks. Previously, he worked at Cenus Technologies, Scotts Valley, CA, Oracle Corporation, Redwood Shores, CA, and Integrated Device Technology, Santa Clara, CA.

His research interests are in wireless networking, distributed routing algorithms, QoS routing architectures and content routing. He has developed several loop-free multipath routing algorithms and applied them in traffic load-balancing and minimum-delay routing. His current research is focused on improving scalability of QoS architectures through aggregating flows in ways that reduce state-size in the routers and simplify the associated resource management protocols.
