Several people have mailed me to say that their site does not have the style file
"bigtabular.sty", which is required to format the timeline history of parallel
computing I recently posted.  I apologise for not having included it in the original
posting; it is given below.  I will also post a PostScript version of the timeline
once I get the latest set of revisions in place.

I'm still looking for more entries about the history of:

* vectorising and parallelising compiler technology
* parallel functional languages
* parallel logic languages
* many machines from the 1960s and early 1970s
* developments in the former USSR, India, and China

Any and all help would be welcome.
