Latest Information:

• ONLINE GRADES are ready. Let me know by noon of 3/19 if there's any questions or problems.
• Reminder, final project demo is monday in 230BE.
• Midterm results should be posted shortly. Common problems -- for quaternions, they have to be unit quaternions in order to represent rotations; for springs, have to decompose force into appropriate components; for morphing, need to calculate weights for combining the two source points.
• Midterm will have 4 problems, about 90 minutes total. One 8.5 x 11 cheat sheet. Quaternions, Springs, Morphing, and Inverse Kinematics.

• Just posted prog4. You should be able to finish this in 2-3 days. My suggestion is get this done first, get the early points, then start off on your final project right away.
• If you are not on the approved list yet, then you need to get your project proposal approved by 10am this thursday (2/26) to avoid the 2% penalty.
• The project page link has just been updated. Your preliminary proposals are due next Thursday. Pay attention to the deadlines as penalties are high!

• Your cats account should now have +100mb of disk space. If your login is one of the following: estro, phalanx, ickbar, powellj, agsun, iwalker, your account already had >= 100mb. Cats did not increase your allocation further and is instead asking you to do some house cleaning on your files -- delete unnecessary files, compress those that you don't access, etc. If you don't see an increase in your disk allocation, that means your name was not on the class list I got from the registrar's office. In this case, you'll need to get one of those forms to request additional disk space, and I can sign those for you.
• Request for additional disk space on the cats machine has been mailed out for the 9 students who responded. If you have not emailed me, then you're responsible for getting the additional disk space. Tell them you need 100mb more for the cmps161 class.
• I need to generate a list of students and their login id's in order to request additional disk space for your cats account. Please send this to me by noon tomorrow -- tuesday 1/13/04. Alex
• In the process of getting a lab scheduled for TTH, we learned that the original lab schedule had been changed to: MW 3-5pm, MW 7-9pm in Crown lab 201. Given this new lab schedule, if you cannot attend any *one* of four 2-hour lab sections, please send me an email right away (before Thursday). Lab starts Wednesday.
