CMP 160 -- Final Project Guidelines


Important Dates:


Project Proposal:

The purpose of the project proposal is to make sure your final project is something that can be completed in about 2 weeks. The review of your proposal is an iterative process -- the earlier you get your proposal approved, the earlier you can start working on your project!

Submit three possible projects that you would like to do. Rank them in the order of your preference. Provide as much detail as you can for each one. You can submit the list to me by email or paper.

Final projects are individual projects. In addition, I also prefer that students work on different topics. So, that's another incentive for getting those proposals in early -- you get a lock on the topic as soon as your proposal is approved.

Here's a sundry list of possible topics. Instead of some images from previous projects, please check /classes/cmp160/demo to try out some of them -- take note of user interface and user guide.


Demo from previous quarters:

There's a bunch of online demos available from previous CMP160 class projects. These are in: /classes/cmp160/demo on the graphlab machines.
