What was that thing I just clicked?




That's a wafer. That is, each of those little squares (dice) will be cut apart with a diamond saw and put into a package as a separate chip. And what would you see if you could look even closer? If each die were an inverter, it might look like the picture below. After the CMOS layout for the inverter, I put the transistor level description of the inverter (with sample input and output), and after that, I put the logic diagram for the inverter.
