- Professor David Haussler is involved in machine learning,
decision theory, neural networks, computational biology,
computational geometry, and theory of computation.
- David Helmbold
- David Helmbold's research interests lie in theoretical computer
science, including combinatorial algorithms, machine learning, and
parallel computation.
- Manfred Warmuth
- Manfred Warmuth came to the United States on a Fulbright
Scholarship. His research interests include machine learning, on-line
learning algorithms, parallel and distributed algorithms, and complexity
theory.

- Daniel Ford is a second year graduate student interested in
computational learning theory and reinforcement learning.
Visiting Researchers
- Arun Jagota
- Arun Jagota is a research scientist in the department of
computer science at UCSC. His research interests include
recurrent neural networks and machine learning (gradient
descent algorithms, convergence, loss bounds, and
continuous-time versus discrete-time issues).
