The Aida Project is funded by National Semiconductor, with the aim of
building an affordable, intelligent electronic secretary.

- Charlie McDowell
- David Helmbold
- David Helmbold's research interests lie in theoretical computer
science, including combinatorial algorithms, machine learning, and
parallel computation.
Graduate students
- Bruce Montague
- Bruce Montague is the author of the Java Nanokernal used in the
UCSC embedded Java project. He is also the originator of a new
software architecture called Soft Instructions.
- Marcelo Montoreano
- Marcelo is working on improving the Java Nanokernel.
- Nigel Duffy
- Nigel Duffy is a second year graduate student interested in
computational learning theory, he maintains the Aida Web Site.
- Daniel Ford
- Daniel Ford is a second year graduate student interested in
computational learning theory and reinforcement learning.
