2 Kestrel PEs with control logic
The processing elements are side by side with, from the bottom, the SRAM, the mutiplier, the alu and comparator datapath, and the register bank. Address and instruction decoders as well as a third register bank are on the right and left. The chip has 51966 transistors in 4.29 x 4.29 mm, and was fabricated in HP 0.8 micron process.Tested and verified April 1997.
