Faculty Charlie McDowell Charlie McDowell is currently the only faculty member on this project. Graduate students Bruce Montague Bruce Montague is the author of the Java Nanokernal used in the UCSC embedded Java project. He is also the originator of a new software architecture called Soft Instructions. Bruce finished his Ph.D. in June, 1998.
