ISM 50 Oral Presentations & Folios

Fall 2005

Oral Presentations

Each class will include two five minute student presentations. We will assign students to presentation slots at the beginning of the quarter. The presentations will either be on:

(1)   Summary of the case to be discussed that day.

(2)   Presentation of a recent relevant news story

The presentation should be short and clear and begin on time at the start of class.  Students are encouraged to use PowerPoint.  PowerPoint slides must be sent by email to the instructor the NIGHT BEFORE the presentation is to be given.  The case presentations should summarize what the case was about, and what you found interesting about the case. Presentations of news stories should also summarize the news story, make clear what you found interesting about the story, and the relation of the news story to the issues we discuss in the class.

Each student will be assigned a date to present and one of the two topics.  These will be assigned after the first class so any strong preferences, accompanied by a strong justification for that preference, should be emailed immediately to the instructor.
