CMP 243 Course Requirements
CMP 243 Course Requirements
- Prerequisites: graduate standing, or if you are an undergraduate,
then BIOC 100A and CMP 101. You do not need advanced knowledge in both
computer science and biochemistry, although we expect all students
to be familiar with one of these fields, and ready to learn about the other.
All students will need access to the world wide web and some programming
experience. Finally, it is important that students have some background
in probability and statistics, at least as much as might be
obtained by taking an upper division undergraduate course.
- Requirements: 50% of grade is based on homework assignments
and/or take-home tests, and the other 50% is based on your
class project.
The project is on a topic of your own choosing.
It should be a substantial project, but it does not necessarily have
to be a programming intensive project.
