In preparation for this assignment, you will need:

• a CATS account,
• a floppy to store your files until you have transferred them to your CATS account,
• a photo of yourself to scan: it has to be somewhat recognizable, and maybe not too big or you'll run out of space. Worse come to worse, your student ID mug shot will do.

You will be able to check out to use the lab scanners to scan your photo, and the microphone and headphones that the CE3 staff will make available during section. These are all in short supply. There is certain to be a shortage if everybody leaves this to the last minute. So begin early !

You are welcome to bring your own headphones and microphones to the lab. To connect them to the lab PC's, they need to have mini-jack connector. You can get a microphone or headphones for about $5 from places like Longs or Radio Shack. But why not avoid the cost and hassle by coming to section ?
