CMPE003, Spring 1998: What's New

If you don't know how to read newsgroups, follow these instructions:

• Open a Netscape web browser.
• Pull down the "Windows" menu and select "Netscape News"
• Pull down the "File" menu and select "Add Newsgroup"
• Type in "ucsc.class.cmpe003"

The messages will appear on the right side of the upper window. Select them with a mouse to read the messages. Or, you can come to the class web page, and just click on the hyperlink for the newsgroup. That's all there is to it. * Announcement: about CMPS002 and CMPE003, 08 April 98

* Announcement: In lieu of a quiz on Tuesday, 19 May 98, there will be a short homework assignment. Please see the course schedule for a link to the assignment.

* Announcement: Grades for Projects #1 and #2 have been posted on the Grades page. If you have questions about your grades, you need to make arrangements to see me during office hours, or AFTER lecture, not before lecture or during lecture break. Please remember that if you did not send me email by the appropriate due date, that you were combining Projects #1 and #2, then you receive ZERO credit for Project #1., 12 May 98.

* Announcement: See the IMPORTANT CHANGE in submission procedures for Project #5. 05.12.98

* Announcement: Due to technical difficulties with the programming project #6 [on my part], everyone in the class will received 75 pts for Project #6. However, there will still be a Project #6 posted, with a later due date. If you wish to complete the Project, an extra credit 15 pts will be possible. Project should be posted by Friday afternoon.05.21.98

* Announcement: SPECIAL HOURS FOR FINAL EXAM QUESTIONS. One of the TAs, Steve Fonseca, will be available in the Social Sciences PC Lab on Tuesday, 16 Jun, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM to answer questions.
