Personal Computer Concepts: Software and Hardware

Lab 2

1. Format a diskette in the lab, label it and use it for the second part of the exercise, at the end of which you will turn it in to your lab tutor. (It will be returned to you during your next lab class.) The label should have your name, course and lab section, email address, and file names of the files on the diskette (you will have these from part 2).
2. Create 3 files on the diskette as in parts a, b, and c, below:

   a.

   Use Paintbrush to draw a self-portrait. Save it on your diskette, in 16 bit image (to minimize storage requirements), as lab2a.

   b.

   Use Notepad to make a schedule for your activities for tomorrow. Time stamp it and save it as lab2b.

   c.

   Use Write to list your educational background: high school and year graduated; college experience to date, including major; anything else of relevance. Save it as lab2c.

3. The diskette should have only 3 files on it: lab2a, lab2b, lab2c. Hand it into your lab tutor at the end of your scheduled lab.
