Assignment 1: Using LaTeX

What to do:

• Duplicate as closely as possible a postscript copy of a LaTeX document using LaTeX. Use Leslie Lamports "LaTeX User's Guide and Reference Manual" as a reference. Be sure to add comments to your LaTeX source code explaining any difficulties you encounter. Pay attention to the width of the margins and the placement of equations in the document. If you have questions or are stumped by a particular aspect of the assignment, contact Albion and he may suggest a solution or point you in the right direction.

What to pass in:

• Print a formatted postscript copy of your document and staple it to a printed copy of your LaTeX source code. Be sure to put your name in a comment in the source code in order to receive credit for your work. This assignment will be graded on how faithfully you can reproduce the original document.
