News and annnouncements
- Welcome to AMS227!
- This course has AMS 212A "Partial Differential Equations" and AMS 217 "Fluid Dynamics" as pre-requisites. The PDE pre-reqs is there to make sure that you know at least a little bit about PDEs and vector calculus. If you have taken the Phys 116 series, or any PDE class in another university that's fine too. The Fluid Dynamics pre-requisite is less important, but you will feel a lot more comfortable if you have studied a bit of Fluid Dynamics before coming to class. If you're happy to get out of your comfort zone, then don't hesitate to join this class even without any Fluid experience. I'll cover the basics of Fluid Dynamics in the first week. Either way, if you want to join in, just email me for a permission code (see address above)!
- Homework 6 has been posted, please do it for Wednesday 28th
- There will be a make-up lecture on Friday March 2nd
